My philosophy

Strength. Integrity. Practice.

I started my fitness journey by getting involved in Track & Field and Cross Country in high school. I needed to get stronger to continue to be competitive and began weight training in addition to athletics. After high school, I continued to lift weights to stay fit and eventually spent so much time studying exercise I decided to turn it into a career.

Since becoming a Personal Trainer, I have had the opportunity to compete in Track & Field, Natural Bodybuilding, Powerlifting, Obstacle Course Racing, and Highland Games Heavy Athletics. I enjoy competing multiple times a year and I am always looking for an event to train for to keep me motivated to continue striving for improvement. Currently I am the USPA Open Men's 242 Raw Oregon State Record Holder for Squat, Bench, Deadlift, and Total, as well as the 2018 Portland Highland Games Heavy Athletics Novice Men's Champion. I also hold the Shot Put School Record for College of San Mateo, which was set in 2013.

Professionally, I am a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist, and Spartan SGX Coach. I am always looking to expand and continue my education, mainly by attending seminars, obtaining new certifications, and reading as much as I can.

I take great pride in helping others achieve more than they thought possible, whether that be losing weight, getting stronger, or improving their mobility or quality of life. I work with a wide variety of clients and specialize in strength and power development, conditioning, and functional mobility.
